Yosemite Day Trip - June 20, 2005
On June 20, 2005, I took a day trip to Yosemite National
Park. I left my house
in Mountain View at 6:30am and reached the highway 120 entrance (160 miles away)
at 9:30am. I then slowly made my way to Yosemite Village. I spent
several hours taking pictures, and then ate lunch at Yosemite Village. Here are
some of the pictures I took.
At about 1:30, I decided to head up to Glacier Point. Glacier Point is at an elevation of about 7100', which is about 3200' above the Yosemite Valley floor, which it overlooks. It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to drive from the valley floor to Glacier Point.
I left Glacier Point at about 3:00pm, reached the valley floor at 3:45 and decided to head
home. I reached the highway 120 entrance at 4:30, and got home at about 7:30pm.
